My April Diary
(NOTES BY DONNA M RASMUSSEN A.K.A MRS. CAPTAIN)

That was about it. Lock 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 then out on Lake Ontario where we promptley went down below to take a much needed nap, It wouldn't be a long one though as it was a quick trip to Hamilton from the canal. I think we got to sleep an hour before the phone rang that we were 30 minutes from the piers. One good thing though? Anders got a new phone next to his bed that doesn't do the awful BZZZZ BZZZZ , it just rings nice like a real phone . Whew! The old one used to make me jump like I got a jolt of electicity through me! ha ha! It was 12 Noon and we were back up in the Wheelhouse.

So we got to the dock in Hamiton and once the ship was cleared then we went down for a real sleep, course with the unloading gear running, no matter how tired you are it's still a challange to sleep sometimes. I think we got about 4 hours of sleep, and got up because we were both starving. Once we ate , we found out the ship was going to be ready to go in about 90 minutes so decided to just stay up.

We headed out about 8:30 PM Friday the 19th and headed back out on Lake Ontario to head towards the canal. I know I really was exhausted so once we cleared the pier I just went in to Anders bedroom and went to bed! Anders was looking for me and once he found me he said. "yeah , thats probalby a good idea" So we slept almost 2 hours going across the lake. Good thing as we really needed it!
